Cheese 11/2/09

This is the cheese less than a month later. Happily it has a good vacume seal.
Notice the oil gathering at the bottom already.
I will update this again in a few months

Cheese storage

While sailing across the top end of OZ, we met the people on the boat "The Silent Knight", they showed us a great tip on how to store cheese for long trips where there is no shops available.
Its very simple, firstly ensure that the cheese is vacume packed properly, or to make doubley sure use a vacume sealer to vacume pack twice. Then store it in the hull unrefridgerated.
I have put this block in the bottom cnr of my cupboard, i will wrap it in paper and another plastic bag because i dont have a vacume sealer.
Todays date is 22 jan 09. I will show you a photo in 6 months from now... (trust me its yummy)
IMPORTANT try to stand the block on end because a lot of oil will settle at the bottom.
